Description
View from Laurel Hill looking northeast showing the Falls Bridge also known as the Reading Railroad Bridge over the Schuylkill River. Erected by mason Christian Swartz in 1853, the bridge was utilized by the Richmond branch of the Reading Rail Road to "connect with the main road upon the west side of the river." Industries and a hotel line the bank of the river.
