Description |
Interior of the Masonic Hall built 1853-1855 after the designs of Sloan & Stewart at 713-721 Chestnut Street. Shows the west
wall of the Grand Lodge Room constructed after the designs of Collins & Autenrieth. Includes statuary, carpeting, a chandelier,
the Grand Master 's chair, ornately decorated architectural elements, and a book on a pedestal. Hall razed by fire in 1886.

The Langenheim brothers, William and Frederick, were pioneer photographers and stereograph publishers who operated a photographic
studio in Philadelphia from the 1840s to 1874 and the death of William.
