Description |
Half-length, forward facing portrait of an unidentified white woman seated on a chair. Sitter has long, dark hair, parted
in the middle, and looped behind her ears. She is attired in a dark-colored, short-sleeved, silk dress with buttons down the
bodice and a white lace collar, and black lace, fingerless gloves. A broach adorns her collar. She rests her right forearm
on a table covered in a patterned cloth. The sitter’s left hand is slightly clenched and rests on her lap. Her lips and cheeks
are tinted pink.
