Description
View showing the 1100 block of Market Street, including the Farmers' Market and several storefronts. The Farmer's Market was the largest of several market houses constructed in 1859 after market sheds and stalls were removed from Market Street. Street scene includes a variety of parked horse-drawn carts and wagons, strolling pedestrians, and horse-drawn omnibuses traveling the street.
