Description
Depicts a row of presses attended by two male operators at the third mint building on Spring Garden Street between Sixteenth and Seventeenth streets. One laborer stands next to a handtruck loaded with drawers of coins. Electric lights hang from the ceiling. The U.S. Mint was established in Philadelphia in 1792.
