Description
Pictorial envelope advertising the seed business established in 1855 by printer and horticulturist James Vick. Contains flourishes and floral pictorial details framing and comprising the text. Details include flowers, vinery, and foliage. Vick issued seed catalogs beginning in 1856.

Addressed in manuscript to: Miss Susan Smith, Pughtown, Pa.
Date inferred from three-cent stamp, printed in green and depicting a profile portrait of George Washington, pasted on recto.
