Billhead containing a vignette captioned "Manufactured by Mord. Lewis & Co. and showing barrels of lead labeled "White Lead"; "Red Lead"; and "Mord. Lewis & Co., Philada." Mordecai and Samuel N. Lewis began operation of a white leads manufactory in 1819.
