Description
Panoramic view looking toward the Palais du Champ De Mars (main building of the exposition) within a four-section park showing the area near the International Circle. Rooftops and towers of other exhibition buildings surround it. In the foreground, a monumental roof sculpture comprised of a female and cheubic figure is visible. The exposition held April 1-November 3, 1867 celebrated the technological and economic progress of the Second Empire, as well as originated the classification system followed by proceeding international exhibitions.
