Description
Vignette portrait of the Philadelphia philanthropist, abolitionist, and Presbyterian educator. Stuart organized the Philadelphia reception for the absolved Amistad slave mutineers at the First Reformed Presbyterian Church subsequent to their emancipation by the Supreme Court in 1841.
