The boy, attired in a sailor suit with a flap collar with white stripes and an anchor emblem at his chest, knee-length shorts, stockings, and shoes, rests his left hand on an ornate wicker chair in the right. In the left is a side table, covered in a floral tablecloth with tassels, with a vase of flowers on top of it.
