building built 1864-1871 and library opened in 1911. The outline of a baseball diamond can be seen on the lawn. St. Charles
Borromeo, founded in 1832 by Rt. Rev. Francis P. Kenrick, tenanted several locations in Philadelphia before relocating to
Overbrook in 1871.
