Description Advertising label for the Philadelphia stationer. Between the words of the title is a tabletop crowded with stationers’ products, including an artist’s palette with brushes, a box of watercolor paints, quill pens, a pair of compasses, boxes of paper, and books. Samuel M. Stewart moved to New Orleans in 1840 and Lipman operated from the Chestnut Street address through 1849.
