Description
Sheet music cover showing the Falcon crew on their barge near the Fairmount Water Works. The nine-men crew includes a coxswain and eight oarsmen wearing striped uniforms, the latter holding up their oars. The barge is adorned with an American flag on the bow and the club flag on the stern. Also shows the covered bridge, known as the Upper Ferry Bridge (destroyed by fire in 1838) in the background. The waterworks were originally built between 1812 and 1822 after the designs of Frederick Graff. Old Rosin the Beau is an Irish drinking song.
