Description
Souvenir print, or possibly design for a membership certificate, for the professional artists' club founded in 1860. Contains an oval-framed depiction of a near nude, slightly draped cherubic boy, holding a scroll under one arm, and an artist's tongs in his other hand, as he leans on a bust of Minerva. Includes a silhouette of the boy and bust. Clasp-shaped adornments containing filigree details flank the oval. Clasps adorned with a sketchbook and paint palette that enclose a pencil and paintbrush, respectively.
