Case: Leather. Geometric design with stylized leaves. Same design on verso. The design of the case is called Leaf Circle Motif and is plate 197 in American Miniature Case Art by Floyd and Marion Rinhart (Cranbury, New Jersey: A. S. Barnes and Co. Inc., 1969.) Uncommon. A nicely done case in cardboard, circa 1859.
