Notes
Cased photographs retrospective conversion project.
Pad: Faded bugundy velvet. Urn in the center, large scrolls at corners.
Mat: Modified nonpareil.
Case: Leather. A young woman is in the center holding a large spray of flowers and leaves. Fancy scrolls are all around. Swirling lines on back. The design of the case is called Maiden with Cornucopia and is plate 163 in American Miniature Case Art by Floyd and Marion Rinhart (Cranbury, New Jersey: A. S. Barnes and Co., Inc., 1969.) Produced in quantity, ca. 1851.
