Description
View shows a horse-drawn railway car ready to pull away from the Ridge Avenue passenger depot or car barn. "Girard College" and "Ridge Avenue" flank the number "15" on the side of the car. A string of text running the length of the car above the windows reads, "Odd Fellows Cemetery, Laurel Hill, Falls of Schuylkill & Wissahickon". Other signboards read, "Through by railway" and "Girard College and Manayunk". A group of men, one holding the reins of the hitched horses, stand on or near the car. A woman disembarks from the front.
