Description
Oblique, exterior view of Laning Hall of the U.S. Naval Asylum, a convalescence home for retired sailors, constructed 1864-1868 after designs by John McArthur, Jr. at the southwest corner of Gray's Ferry Avenue and Twenty-fourth Street. Replaced original hospital in Biddle Hall.
