Description
Illustration is set on a coffee plantation in either South American or the West Indies. Sitting in the shade of a palm tree, a planter watches several slaves at work. To the right, two women and a child pick coffee beans and place them in baskets. In the middle, three women carry full baskets up an incline and dump the beans on the ground. Two men rake and shovel them.
Is part of
