Hotel; Charles Laing & Co., shirt manufacturer; T. & J.W. Johnson, publishers and importers of law books; the Public Ledger
building; and a billiard saloon. The Masonic Hall (713-721 Chestnut) is visible in the distance. American flags and signage
adorn many of the buildings. Pedestrians, including an African American boy, line the street traveled by several horse-drawn
carriages.
