Description Advertisement showing the works of the silver lead mining company chartered in October 1850. Includes the engine shaft, smelting furnace, storage shed, and probably the paymaster's office. Laborers operate shaft machinery, push wheel barrows, transport ore by horse-drawn wagons, and pick at a large rock. Also shows a reservoir pool in the background and two laborers at rest, shovels in hand, seated on a tree trunk near a wheelbarrow in the foreground.
