Description
Elevated view looking northwest from the inclined walkway leading to Reservoir Hill showing the steamboat landing and Boathouse Row on the Schuylkill River immediately north of the Fairmount Water Works. Shows a large decorative urn or planter adorning the walkway in the foreground, two steamboats on the river near the landing, and three boathouses in the background, including the Philadelphia Skating Club and Humane Society boathouse built in 1861 and the boathouse built in 1872 for the Vesper and Malta boat clubs.
