Description
View of the bandstand, built in 1872, on George's Hill near Fifty-Second Street in West Fairmount Park. Also shows a flag pole and three horse-drawn coaches with passengers parked in the foreground. Two African American men, possibly carriage drivers, stand nearby. The hill was given to the city by siblings Jesse and Rebecca George in 1868.
