Description
Interior view looking toward the altar of the church built 1831 for the independent congregation of Rev. John Chambers at the northeast corner of Broad and Sansom streets. Shows Rev. Chambers at the pulpit, three men seated in front of the pulpit, and several male and female parishioners in and near the pews. Church renamed Chambers Presbyterian Church and congregation admitted to the Presbytery in 1873.
