was mustered in May 7 and mustered out Aug. 15, 1861; Capt. James McGough led Co. B. Cf. S.P. Bates. History of Pennsylvania
Volunteers, v. 1, p. 218, and F.H. Taylor. Philadelphia in the Civil War 1861-1865, p. 38. The 69th Regiment of the Pennsylvania
Volunteers, the 2nd Regiment of Baker's Brigade, was organized in Aug. 1861 by Col. Owen, and mustered out July 1, 1865; Edward
D. Baker was killed at the battle of Ball's Bluff, Va., Oct. 21, 1861. Cf. S.P. Bates. History of Pennsylvania Volunteers,
