Description
Trade card with printed black text and gilt drop shadow and smaller blue text on the bottom of the card. The Franklin Institute hosted the "Novelties" Exhibition in 1885.

Biographical / historical note
In 1877, William M. Burk and John R. M'Fetridge purchased the Inquirer Printing Office at 304 Chestnut Street from William W. Harding. The Burk & McFetridge partnership operated from the second and fourth floors of the building until relocating next door to 306-308 Chestnut Street in 1884.
