Description Depicts equestrian statue of George Washington on a pedestal above allegorical figures, along with "typical" American people. Designed by Rudolf Siemering in 1897 and unveiled at the Green Street entrance to Fairmount Park. Moved to the end of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art in 1928. Depicts monument at Green Street entrance.
Notes Monument commissioned by the Society of the Cincinnati of Pennsylvania, whose members were descendants of Washington's soldiers.
