View showing the George Washington marble statue sculpted by Joseph A. Bailly enclosed in ironwork fencing in front of Independence Hall. Statue rests on pedestal inscribed "Erected by the Washington Monument Association of the First School District of Pennsylvania July 4, 1869." Also shows spectators in the background.
