Description
Genre scene satirizing the "new woman" and the role of women in the home. Shows the lady of the house dressed in bloomers (bicycle garb), telling her husband to do the sewing while she goes out for a ride. The husband is seated with their daughter next to him as his wife, who hovers above them, gives the order with his shirt in her outstretched hand.
